Himachal Assembly Monsoon session commences today

Shimla: The monsoon session of the Himachal Pradesh assembly is going to begin at 2 pm on Monday afternoon. The sessions will be organised with proper precaution in view of the COVID-19 crisis but it is also expected to be stormy at the same time. In the session, the irregular sales and purchase in the health department during the COVID19 crisis, allegations of corruption against a cabinet minister, the arbitrariness of officials and issues of poor officials will be discussed.

The opposition has also planned to tackle the government by arming a number of issues such as unemployment, corruption, law and order, vacancies, economic mismanagement. However, the Treasury benches are also gearing up to give a befitting reply to the opposition by counting the failures of the Congress' previous reign. The session, which begins on September 7, will continue till September 18. The session will begin at 2 pm on Monday. There will also be a question hour.

On Tuesday the session will start at 11 am. According to sources, the opposition has planned to corner the treasury benches since the first day of the show. The opposition has planned to tackle the government on a number of issues such as the state's economic condition, the closure of GST reimbursement and other financial assistance from the central government, allegations of corruption against the Cabinet Minister, fraud in the sale and purchase during the COVID-19 period, the issue of fake poor officials, cancellation of appointments of SMC teachers and a number of other issues can be debated.
