48,000 slums removed in Delhi, BJP says, 'Kejriwal duped poor people'

New Delhi: After the recent verdict of the country's largest court, the bulldozers are going to run on the land of about 48,000 slum dwellers in Delhi. Sensing the urgency of the occasion, political parties are using the issue to target each other. Delhi BJP unit president Order Gupta has alleged that Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has cheated the poor people.

In Delhi, BJP state president Order Gupta has written a letter to Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal on the issue. The letter urged about 48,000 slum dwellers to be removed from the railway safety zone around railway tracks on the directions of the Supreme Court in Delhi to allot flats of Rajiv Awas Yojana available and lying vacant with the Delhi government.

Delhi BJP unit president Order Gupta has tweeted alleging the Delhi government that "the government took rs 11.26 crore in the name of survey for restoration of slum dwellers to be removed from the railway premises years ago but not a plan flat which is lying vacant but not a single slum dweller has got a flat till date. Arvind Kejriwalji, you have also cheated the poor people. ''
