Bhopal: A cabinet meeting was held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh. During this time, the proposed bill to regularize more than six thousand illegal colonies in the state has been approved. In fact, the biggest benefit of regularization is that people will become eligible for bank loans if they become legalized under the illegal housing process. Apart from this, roads, electricity, water facilities will be provided through the urban body in the colony. Apart from all this, it has also been said to decide, "the houses in which more than the map has been constructed will be setal with the compounding of 20 percent more construction i.e. More construction will be broken.'' The Government will now implement the bill through an ordinance. After all this, rules will be framed, including the cut-off date of the illegal colony, the amount to be charged from colonies and residents for infrastructure development in the regularly qualified colony. Medical Education Minister Faith Sarang spoke about the cabinet decision on Wednesday. He said, "without permission, there will be a sentence of up to seven years against the colonizer or builder and a fine of Rs 10 lakh. Such provisions will be made in the rules.'' There are about 6876 illegal colonies in the state. The list includes Gwalior, Jabalpur, Bhopal, and Indore where such colonies are the highest. Now, the maps of houses constructed will be sanctioned after the amended law of regularisation of illegal colonies is implemented.
