After testing positive for Covid-19 and staying home-quarantined, Hyderabad’s first citizen Mayor Bonthu Rammohan is now among the growing tribe of corona conquerors. With the quarantine period over and the latest test turning out to be negative, the Mayor says one of his key strategies to counter the virus was exposure to morning sunlight. According to doctors, many people in the city suffer with deficiency of vitamin D and B12 due to poor exposure to morning sunlight. People should make it a point to spend at least 15 minutes in the morning sunlight every day, he says. Morning sunlight provides vitamin D for free and one should increase the intake of food rich in B12,” he adds. During his isolation period, Rammohan says he practiced breathing exercises apart from following the prescribed guidelines for early recovery.
