The news of the reunion of the popular English show Friends special was delayed multiple times due to the ongoing 2020 pandemic. This year was supposed to be the year when the entire Friends cast; Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer, were going to be together for a Friends Reunion special. The dates were decided around March 23-24 as the cast was going to reunite under the same roof at Warner Bros. Studios in Los Angeles, California. But then COVID-19 struck in and ruined the entire plans. Since the first delay, many reports suggested that the team is waiting to see if they want to opt for a virtual reunion. The Friends cast and creators were firmly against the virtual reunion because they wanted the same studio audience ambiance which they got during the filming of the 236 episodes. Much thanks to Perry for the idea of the beloved Friends cast will reunite for the reunion special. Mathew shares shared on Twitter that filming for Friends Reunion is currently scheduled for March 2021, which marks a literal one year difference from the original shoot dates. In the tweet made by Matthew, it was mentioned that "Friends reunion being rescheduled for the beginning of March. Looks like we have a busy year coming up. And that's the way I like it!"
