New Delhi: AIMPLB on Saturday termed the UCC as a "threat" to unity in the country's diversity and termed it "anti-national". Giving warning against any 'legislative or judicial' move to implement the Uniform Civil Code, it said that it will also challenge the constitutional validity of triple talaq. The All India Muslim Personal Law Board took a decision in its executive committee meeting chaired by its Chief Rabe Hassan Nadvi, during which it was also expected that the Supreme Court ruled the title suit on the 2.77 acres of disputed Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid land will go in favour of Muslims. The AIMPLB meeting was attended by several high officials including its Vice President Fakhruddin Ashraf Kichhachhavi, General Secretary Maulana Wali Rahmani, senior board members Zafaryab Jilani and Khalid Rashid Firangi Mahali and Jamaat-e-Ulema Hind chief Maulana Arudh Madan.
