Mumbai: Four drug dealers were detained in connection with the haul after the Crime Branch of the Mumbai police reported recovering hash worth Rs 26 lakh from the Kalachowki area of Mumbai. Unit 4 of the Mumbai Police's Crime Branch set up a trap after receiving a tip, and the accused was captured on camera on Monday. The police said that after receiving information that drug smuggling was planned to occur in the Kalachowki area along Ray Road, a trap was set and four people were captured. The suspects are being questioned, and more investigations are being conducted to find anyone else involved in the smuggling ring. The Mumbai police's anti-narcotics unit detained a drug dealer last week on Dockyard Road in the Mazgaon district of Mumbai. The culprit was found to be in possession of 220 grammes of MD medicines, which are valued at Rs 44 lakh on the black market. \It is also said the four procured the narcotics from another accused who is currently on the run. An officer said that the usual modus operandi of the accused would be to sit at the godown and keep the majority of the contraband hidden in a pipe beneath the godown, from where they would source it for clients.
