The photo was taken by France's astronaut Thomas Pesquet from the International Space Station. The glacier that this picture is called apsala glacier. It is the third largest glacier in argentina and chile's southern Patagonian icefield. NASA has reported that the glacier is shrinking day by day. According to NASA, this has been noticed by astronauts and earth observation satellites that help scientists monitor climate progress. In the picture, large pieces of the Apsala Glacier are breaking down due to the climate crisis, reducing the size of the glacier.

NASA captioned the photo as "The international space station's knowledge of Earth's climate change and such observations help us to keep our planet safe".
