The current CM of Madhya Pradesh, Kamal Nath has clarified that the National Population Register (NPR) will not be implemented in Madhya Pradesh. The notification of NPR that is being talked about is on 9 December 2019. Earlier, Bhopal Congress MLA Arif Masood had threatened a press conference that if NPR will be applicable in the state then what is the use of staying in such a party. Government of Goa withdrew the order to impose Section 144 After Masood's statement on the matter, the Chief Minister said that after this notification, the Central Government has issued the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) i.e. the NPR has been notified is not done under the Citizenship Amendment Act 2019. Amendment Act 1955 has been issued under Rule 3 of the Rules 2003. Government did this to define the original inhabitants of Assam MLA Masood threatened the government and said that if the Chief Minister's position is not positive then what is the point of staying in such a party? He demanded the state government to immediately dismiss this gazette. Masood said that the NPR Gazette has been issued incorrectly in the state. The government did not properly understand the responsibility of the people of its state. NPR is only a small part of NRC. On the other hand, State Law Minister PC Sharma says that Madhya Pradesh has neither implemented NPR nor will it be implemented. The gazette that is being told is of 9 December.
