9 lakh corona tests done in 24 hours : ICMR

The Indian Council of Medical Research has tested the maximum 9,18,470 people in 24 hours. A total of 3 crore 26 lakh 61 thousand 252 samples have been examined so far in the country. Corona testing is happening very fast in the country. A few days ago, ICMR released the data and informed that so far more than three crore corona tests have been done, out of which one crore tests were done in only two weeks.

According to the latest data released by the Health Ministry, a record 69,652 new cases have been reported in a day and 977 people have died. During this time, the maximum number of 9 lakh 18 thousand 470 sample tests has been done. A total of 28 lakh 336 thousand 926 cases have been reported in the country so far. Of these, 6 lakh 86 thousand 395 are active cases. Out of these, 20 lakh 96 thousand 665 patients have been cured and 53 thousand 866 people have died. So far, a total of three crore 26 lakh 61 thousand 252 samples have been tested. The recovery rate is 73.91% and the death rate is 1.90%.

According to Johns Hopkins University, corona infections have been confirmed in more than two crores people worldwide so far. So far 2,24,27,939 people have been infected with corona in the world while 7,88,030 people have died due to its infection.
