In a two-page order, the court said that it is very serious that after spending crores, the government suddenly stopped the jail project. It is not even known why this decision was taken.

The Chief Secretary should submit a detailed reply with an affidavit regarding the decision of the Cabinet to approve the proposal, sign the MoU, construct it and stop the work suddenly. If the affidavit does not come in two weeks, the principal secretary will have to appear in the court himself. The Housing Board said that the Housing Board's reply has come in the petition. The board told the court that the cabinet had approved the construction of the Central Jail in 2002. An MoU was also signed in this regard on 25 October 2002.
