Fear of frost in Madhya Pradesh and Bihar, cold winds will grip North India

The cold wave conditions prevailing in North India for the last few days may remain for a few more days. The Indian Meteorological Department has said that North India will be in the grip of cold winds till the end of December. There has been a long period of cold winds in the capital Delhi in December this year. The Meteorological Department said that the cold days are expected to last till December 29 in many parts of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh. In many districts of Rajasthan, the temperature has gone below zero. Last night in Sikar, the temperature reached minus 3 degrees.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department, there can be a period of cold days in parts of Madhya Pradesh and Bihar. Most weather stations of Delhi are recording extreme cold for 12 consecutive days. The minimum temperature in Delhi has been recorded at 4.2. In the year 1997, 1998, 2003 and 2014, there was such a phase of extreme cold. The Meteorological Department says that cold winds coming towards the northwest are blowing downwards, so there is an outbreak of extreme cold in this region. Since December 15, extreme cold conditions have occurred in many states of North India. The highest cold was recorded on 25 December.

According to media reports, there is a possibility of frost in some areas of Madhya Pradesh and Bihar. Not only this, dense fog can be seen in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chhattisgarh, Delhi and some areas of Uttar Pradesh. The Indian Meteorological Department has said in its All India Weather Bulletin that from December 30, the Western Disturbance will be active once again. Due to this, there is a possibility of hail in some areas of North-West and Central India between 31 December and 1 January.
