Jat agitation: CBI files charge sheet against nine accused

The investigation of the Jat agitation has come into the AJC active mode. The CBI has filed a charge sheet against 9 people in 2016 for the violence, arson, obstruction of government work and spreading riots during the Jat agitation. Officials said that the investigating agency accused people of Sonepat and Panipat districts of Haryana in its charge sheet filed in the special court of Panchkula. There are speculations that strict action is expected on the accused in this case.

According to the media report, the chargesheet of CBI includes the names of Rajesh, Satbir, Virendra, Devendra, Jagbir, Raj Kamal and Arun, living in Sonepat. Apart from this, Jai Kishan and Satbir of Panipat have also been accused. CBI has filed a separate charge sheet against Bhupendra and Anil of Rohtak. In which both have been accused of committing violence during a demonstration in Rohtak and arson in the office of a Hindi newspaper.

According to the CBI, people protesting on the demand for Jat reservation had attempted to stop the water flow of Munak Nagar going to the capital Delhi on 21 February 2016. Haryana witnessed the most violence, sabotage, and arson over the demand for Jat reservation in government jobs.
