Sharad Pawar gets a big shock, NCP MP Udayanraje joins BJP

New Delhi: Big name and NCP leader Udayanraje Bhosle has joined BJP membership in the politics of Maharashtra. Udayanraje joined the BJP in the presence of BJP national president Amit Shah. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis was also present on the occasion. Udayanraje Bhosale, a three-time MP from NCP from Satara Lok Sabha seat, is a descendant of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

Udayanraje has won the Lok Sabha elections from Satara seat in 2009, 2014, and 2019. Raje's joining the BJP is being linked to the party's efforts to pull the Maratha vote bank. It is worth mentioning that in Maharashtra, Congress and NCP leaders continue to leave the party and join BJP and Shiv Sena. On Wednesday, Congress leader Harsh Vardhan Patil of West Maharashtra and former minister Ganesh Naik, very close to NCP president Sharad Pawar, have also left the party and joined the BJP.

Congress leaders former ministers Kripa Shankar Singh and Urmila Matondkar have already broken ties with the party.
