MUMBAI: Singer Neeti Mohan credited her father Brij Mohan Sharma for her successful career. She is currently seen evaluating the young singers in the singing reality series "Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li'l Champs." The "Jiya Re" singer commended Hyderabadi Devika Sharma, 11, for her performance on the song "Humein Tumse Pyaar Kitna" from the Rajesh Khanna and Hema Malini movie "Kudrat," and she was moved to see her father's expression as he watched his daughter. She recalled her father and remarked that seeing their daughter play so well is a gratifying moment for any father. "Neeti" commented "Because we are four sisters, like you are, I can relate to your story. Our father was the biggest supporter of our decision to pursue painting. I recognised how your father was feeling when I seen him getting emotional while you were singing today." The 42-year-old singer, who gained notoriety with the song "Ishq Wala Love" from the film "Student of the Year," later performed additional songs such as "Tu Hi Tu" from "Kick," "Nazar Laaye" from "Raanjhanaa," and "Sau Aasmaan" from "Baar Baar Dekho." She said, fathers are crucial to their daughters' success, and her father gave her a lot of support in order for her to get to where she is today. "I really believe that every successful daughter has a supportive father, and I believe this to be true for both of our life stories. In the future, our father's blessing and support will be responsible for everything we do and accomplish. I want to thank all the fathers who encourage their children to pursue their aspirations, especially my own" she added. Shankar Mahadevan, Anu Malik, and Neeti Mohan serve as judges on "Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li'l Champs," which is presented by Bharti Singh. The programme airs on Zee TV.
