Kathmandu: Nepal's Upper House i.e. the National Assembly has also given green signal to the new map of the country in which some areas of India have been shown as part of the Nepali territory. The National Assembly of Nepal passed this resolution with almost absolute majority today. Now the new map with the President's signature will be given a place in the national emblem of Nepal. Ignoring the proposal to talk to India, the ruling KP Sharma Oli government got the proposal passed in the House of Representatives and then the National Assembly. In the National Assembly voting, 57 votes were received in favour of this resolution. In the new map, Nepal has named Kalapani, Limpadyhura and Lipulekh as its share, while India has rejected the new Nepali map. It says that there is no historical evidence or any factual basis in the claims of the Government of Nepal. According to sources, the Oli government of Nepal is using this map as its political tool. Ignoring the proposal of talks given by India to resolve the pending border dispute, the intention of political gains is being told behind the constitutional amendment. However, India is still ready to cooperate and negotiate with its close neighbour Nepal. The talks between India and Nepal to resolve the border dispute between Kalapani and Narasahi Susta have been going on for the last two decades.
