PFI 'reporter' Mohd Sadiq arrested, was making hit list of non-Muslim leaders

Kochi: A 'reporter' of the banned radical Islamic organization Popular Front of India (PFI) has been arrested. He has been identified as Mohammad Sadiq. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested Mohammad Sadiq from the Kollam district of Kerala. The accused, a PFI 'reporter', used to identify and collect information about non-Muslims (kafirs) for 'hit squads'.

According to media reports, the NIA raided the house of Mohammad Sadiq at Chavara in the Kollam district on Tuesday (January 17). Many objectionable documents, passbooks, and electronic and digital equipment were found from his house. After examining these devices, the NIA interrogated Mohammad Sadiq for about 38 hours. After this, on Wednesday (January 18), the investigating agency arrested him. The NIA has told that Mohammad Sadiq was involved in the conspiracy to establish Islamic rule in the country by carrying out terrorist incidents under Jihad. He was making a hit list to attack 'non-Muslim' leaders. The NIA spokesperson has also told that Mohammad Sadiq used to brainwash the youth and instigate them to join terrorist organizations like Lashkar-e-Taiba and Islamic State.

Their job is to prepare a list of non-Muslim leaders to attack. Based on this, NIA took this action while investigating. A spokesperson of the agency said that the accused Mohammad Sadiq is a resident of Mannezhathu Thatta in Kerala. The agency had raided the whereabouts of PFI leaders and associates in a case related to anti-national conspiracy and illegal activities in Kerala.
