Banda: A surprising incident is coming out from Banda in UP, where a pregnant woman has accused her in-laws of harassing her. The victim says that she was also given abortion medicine. Thereafter, her condition deteriorated so much that she had to be admitted to the hospital. On the complaint of the victim, the police have registered a case under serious sections against 6 persons including her husband and mother-in-law, and father-in-law.
The victim told that on November 24, 2022, she was married to Shakeel, a resident of Bachoda in the Bisanda police station area, according to Muslim customs. At the time of farewell, the in-laws demanded a bullet and two lakh rupees. The father somehow gave 50 thousand rupees and promised to give the rest later. After the marriage, she reached her in-laws' house and after a few days, she became pregnant. After this, the in-laws started torturing her and said to bring the remaining money and motorcycle, and only after that, you will give birth to a child. Pressurized her to abort the child and also threatened to give divorce.
When the woman did not listen to the in-laws, they stopped giving her food. On December 10, the husband, mother-in-law, father-in-law, and sister-in-law together forcibly fed her the medicine for abortion. Due to this, her condition worsened. When the woman informed her family members, they admitted her to the medical college. Fed up with the in-laws, the woman reached the ASP and narrated her ordeal. A case was registered under serious sections against 6 persons, including her husband, in the women's police station under the orders of the ASP. The police are seriously investigating the matter. In this case, after the order of ASP, the women police station in-charge started the investigation after registering the FIR. SP Abhinandan told that legal action will be taken according to the evidence that will come during the investigation. The victim's family has demanded strict action against the culprits.
