Team India's star all-rounder Hardik Pandya scored 28 off 38 balls in the first ODI match against New Zealand on Wednesday (January 18). He hit 3 fours in his innings. Daryl Mitchell showed him the way to the pavilion in the 40th over. He was bowled out on the fourth ball of the over. Now, there has been a controversy over Hardik being given a bold out. People are expressing their displeasure about this on social media. At the same time, two former cricketers of India have also expressed dismay.

Actually, Hardik wanted to make a late cut on the good length ball on the off stump, but the ball passed near his bat and reached the gloves of wicketkeeper Tom Latham. Latham was very close to the stumps and during this time bails fell. In the replay, it was clearly seen that the ball did not hit the bails but his gloves hit the stumps. The third umpire did not see many angles and Hardik was given out. Former Team India batsman Mohammad Kaif, who was commenting on the umpire's decision, seemed disappointed. Kaif said that this is a completely wrong decision. Former Indian cricketer and renowned commentator Sanjay Manjrekar also disagreed with the umpire's decision. Both of them said that technology exists, so the umpire should have fully used it.

Pandya, who came out to bat at number six, fully supported Shubman Gill (208 runs in 149 balls). He added a crucial 74 runs for the fourth wicket with Gill. Gill scored the first ODI double-century of his career. On the strength of which India scored a huge score of 349/8. At the same time, the Kiwi team, which came to chase it, was bowled out at 337 runs and India won the match by 12 runs.
