Venkatesh Prasad lambasts BCCI selectors for ignoring Sarfaraz Khan

India Ex-pacer Venkatesh Prasad used strong words to remind the selectors about Sarfaraz Khan. He said Sarfaraz's non-selection in India's Test squad for the Australia series is "an abuse to Indian cricket".

Sarfaraz Khan will not give up easily. Despite not being chosen for the first two Tests against Australia despite averaging over 100 in the previous three Ranji Trophy competitions (including the current one), he did not quit up. He was discouraged, cried, and even posted Instagram stories of his historic stats. When his club, Mumbai, was in trouble against New Delhi, Sarfaraz hit an incredible century (his third of the season) in the first opportunity he received after being left off of India's Test squad.

That Mumbai could make 293 before being bowled out on the prime day of their Group-B match against traditional rivals Delhi, was largely becasue of the 25-year-old's 125 off 155 balls at the Feroz Shah Kotla.

When Sarfaraz reached his hundred, he leaped into the air and let out a roar that caused everyone at the Arun Jaitley Stadium to take notice. Then, in honour of the late singer Sidhu Moosewala, he smacked his thighs. Real emotions and raw energy were present.
