Jaipur: Nirmala Kamad, a woman teacher who distributed anti-Hindu books among children at a government school in Rajasthan's Bhilwara district, has been put in jail. The teacher was produced in court after being arrested. Where the court flatly refused to grant her bail. The action against this female teacher has been taken after the protest of the parents. The students had accused the teacher of making derogatory remarks about Hindu gods and goddesses. Talking to the media, Asind SHO Harish confirmed the arrest of Nirmala Kamad. According to him, Nirmala has been charged under Sections 295 and 505 IPC. According to media reports, Nirmala Kamad is now in jail. On March 2, students and their families had protested outside the school against Nirmala Kamad. She is accused of not only distributing a book called 'Hinduism Dharma or Kalank' to the children but also forcing them to read it. It is alleged that Nirmala had also threatened the protesters to file a case under the SC/ST Act. There is also a demand for the suspension of Nirmala Kamad. The state education department is also investigating the matter. The book that Nirmala was distributing has been published by Samta Publications of Nagpur. On the cover, former PM Jawaharlal Nehru has been quoted as saying, "Hinduism is definitely not liberal and tolerant. There is no more narrow person in the world than a Hindu.
