New Delhi: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is addressing a press conference amid corona infection. He said the government has decided to provide some more relief. Rs 1.1 lakh crore has been announced for corona affected areas. 50,000 crore has been announced for the health care sector. The remaining 60,000 crore is for other sectors. Coming to the health care sector, loans will be disbursed at the rate of 7.95 per cent under the Guaranteed Scheme. Maximum 100 crore loans will be given to one entity. The guaranteed duration will be of 3 years. Other sectors will get loans at the rate of 8.25 percent. Nirmala Sitharaman said that eight reform measures will be announced today, four of which are brand new. In addition, additional emergency credit line guaranteed scheme of Rs. 1.5 lakh crore has been announced. Sitharaman said the Emergency Credit Line Guaranteed Scheme was announced in May 2020. The provision for this was Rs.3 lakh crores. Now, another Rs. 1.5 lakh crore will be added to the scheme. 2.69 crore has been disbursed so far under ECLGS- 1,2, 3. The loan has been disbursed to 1.1 crore units. The work has been done with the help of 12 Public Sector Banks, 25 Private Sector Banks and 31 NBFC. With the help of Micro Finance Institutions (MFI), credit guaranteed scheme has been announced for 25 lakh small individual borrowers. Under the Scheme, the government will deposit employees and employers of provident fund for two years for persons whose salaries are less than 15,000. The government expected 58.50 lakh employees to benefit from it. Under the scheme, if more than 1000 people work in an institution, the Government will deposit only 12 per cent of the employee stake in PF. 902 crore has been given to 21.42 lakh employees so far under the scheme.
