Chambal Expressway will connect MP, UP and Rajasthan, millions will get employment: Nitin Gadkari

Bhopal: Union Road and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari has decided to construct the Chambal Expressway, giving a big gift to the Chambal-Gwalior region of Madhya Pradesh. The 404 km long expressway constructed at a cost of Rs 8,250 crore will connect Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh and will go to Kanpur-Delhi-Mumbai corridor.

It is clear that Chambal's name is counted among the most backward areas of the country. Many tribes live here. The Transport Minister is hopeful that with the formation of Chambal Expressway, there will be a comprehensive and positive change in everyone's life. On giving information about the construction of Chambal Express on his Facebook page, Gadkari wrote, 'We had a meeting with Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, Jyotiraditya Scindia, high officials of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. We have decided to construct the Chambal Expressway connecting Kota Rajasthan with Bhind Madhya Pradesh.'

Gadkari further wrote that the biggest benefit of this expressway being built along the Chambal River under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi will be for the poor farmers of Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan. They will be able to sell their crop directly in the Delhi-Mumbai market.
