In the last few days, due to Corona epidemic, many things have been banned by the government. And in the meantime cricket has also been closed for a long time. During this time, a T20 match played in a village in Mohali, about 16 km from Chandigarh, was broadcast online in such a way that the match was played in Sri Lanka itself. Mohali police arrested two people as soon as they got information about the case. The police had received an online complaint about the matter, on which this action was taken. Talk of online betting is being revealed in the first investigation. However, the police has refused to reveal anything more than this in this case. Playing cricket is also prohibited due to corona infection.

A T20 match was played at Savara village in Mohali on 29 June, but it was broadcast by the organizers online as a youth T20 league match in Badula town, Sri Lanka. Not only this, its live score was also shown on many sports websites. The Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU) of the BCCI, the Punjab Police and the Sri Lanka Cricket Board have been investigating why the T20 match was broadcast online by Sri Lanka. The Sri Lankan Cricket Board stated clearly in its statement that we did not have any tournament: On the other hand, the officials of Sri Lankan Cricket Board have also said that there is no information about this tournament.

The same Sri Lankan Cricket Board has made it clear in the media that the tournament has not received permission from the Sri Lankan Board or any entity affiliated to it. Therefore Sri Lanka Cricket Board is not responsible in any way regarding this tournament. Who did this should be thoroughly investigated. He will also get his level checked. Ajit Singh, head of BCCI's Anti-Corruption Unit, said that we have started investigation at our level. We would like to know who was involved. If it was a BCCI-accredited league or if there was participation of players in it, we could have taken action against them. If it is done for the purpose of betting then it is a crime and it comes under the jurisdiction of the police. And strict action should be taken on this.
