There is no favourable condition for holding local body elections in the state: General Secretary Neelam Sawhney

Amaravati (Andhra Pradesh): Every person in the state knows what Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan has done for the development of the country to protect the state's development and welfare and social health, says Andhra Pradesh government adviser Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy. We didn't leave any stone. The government is responsible for protecting health along with the welfare and development of the people.

On the one hand, state Election Commissioner Nimmagadda Ramesh will talk about taking elections, said Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy. On the other hand, the Chief Secretary of the Government said that elections cannot be held. He said that Nimmagadda is eager to take elections. His attitude is being questioned. We know this.

Ramakrishna Reddy said that he was asking the government to conduct elections on behalf of the company after the cases of the Covid virus infection were reduced. He said that the elections would have been better before the corona infection progressed. What was the reason for the postponement of the elections at that time?

Sajjala said the state government was concerned about the people and employees. We do not think that a person who speaks in favour of any political party can be fair.

Meanwhile, Chief Secretary Neelam Sawhney wrote to state Election Commissioner Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar that there is no favourable condition for conducting local body elections in the state. He said the entire government machinery is busy with corona duty and in such circumstances there is no need to videoconferencing with collectors about the election incident. Corona infection cases are high in the state and the virus is spreading rapidly in rural areas. In such circumstances, the elections are not in public interest. He said all states were adopting different methods to deal with the corona. In such a case, it is not correct to compare one State with another. 6,890 people have died so far due to corona in the state and the Centre is concerned that the intensity of Covid-19 will be high in the coming days.

State Civil Supplies Minister Kodali Sri Venkateswara Rao alleged that State Election Commissioner (SEC) Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar 'misused the constitutional post' eager lying to hold the rural local body elections. "Do not do this after holding the constitutional office," Rao said. Kumar is acting at the direction of the opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu.

Andhra Pradesh Government, N. Chandrababu Naidu was included in the State Security Commission.
