J&K: No Govt Jobs, No Passport Clearance on 'Anti-nationals'

Jammu and Kashmir: The government has now issued a new and important order to crack down on traitors and stone pelters in Jammu and Kashmir. In fact, according to the recent media report, the new order says that government jobs will not be given to those who raise slogans and stone-pelters against the country. In addition, the passports of such people will also be banned. Talking about this, senior government officials recently said, "Instructions have been issued to all units by the special branch of CID in this regard. It said that those who are at risk of law and order in the state should be monitored.''

According to a report, it is also being said, "All digital evidence and police records will be taken into account to crack down on such people. Earlier, the Union Territory Administration had made an amendment to the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services Rules." It said a CID report was mandatory for getting a government job. Earlier, an English newspaper had reported that, "It will be mandatory for people to tell whether a family member or close relative is associated with a political party or organization, or has participated in political activity, or has a relationship with a foreign mission or organization. Or, there is no connection with a designated-banned organization like Jamaat-e-Islami."

Now, coming to the new amendment, the serving employees will have to provide a lot of information in case of need of re-verification from CID. Accordingly, details of posting and promotion of someone from the date of joining have to be submitted. At the same time, one has to give details of the job of one's parents, husband and wife, children, and stepfather.
