In Koraput district, Odisha police's Special Task Force (STF) captured one live pangolin and detained two wildlife poachers on Sunday. The STF, with the assistance of Koraput District Forest Officials, raided the Koraput-Borigumma bypass route under the Koraput Sadar police station on Sunday morning and rescued the pangolin. The Odisha police have made such a seizure for the second time. On January 18, authorities in Bolangir district grabbed a live pangolin. Madhab Paraja and Jagabandhu Paraja of the Koraput district are the accused. The pangolin was afterwards turned over to the Koraput District Forest Official for safekeeping. According to the STF, the accused have been transported to Koraput forest officials for legal action to be taken.
