Olympian swimmer Srihari Nataraj won three gold medals at the Khelo India College Games (KIUG) here on Thursday, as hosts Jain University swept the swimming pool by winning 14 gold medals. Nataraj, who represents Jain University, has won gold medals in the 100m fristyle, 50m backstroke and 4x200m freestyle relay. He has also set new records in all these events. Let us know that Nataraja has broken Rudransh Mishra's record of 53.01 in 2020 by clocking 50.98 seconds in the 100 m freestyle. Heer Shah (University of Mumbai) clocked 52.78 seconds and Aditya Dinesh (Anna University) clocked 52.79 seconds to win the silver and bronze medals respectively. Nataraj has clocked 26.10 seconds in the 50-meter backstroke. Shiv Sridhar (Jain University) has won the silver and bronze medals respectively with 27.10 seconds and Siddhant Sejwal (Panjab University) with 27.69 seconds. Following which Nataraj along with Sanjay Jayakrishnan, Shiva Sridhar and Raj Relekar completed the 4x200m freestyle relay with a new record time of 8 minutes 06.87 seconds.
