Pegasus controversy: Pakistan says Modi govt spyed on Imran Khan

Islamabad: After the Pegasus in India, its raag has now started to be invoked in Pakistan as well. After the Congress asked him to spy on Rahul Gandhi, Pakistani Information Minister Fawad Chaudhary has said that the Indian government has also spied on his PM Imran Khan with the help of Israeli software 'Pegasus'. In fact, Pakistan had claimed on Monday that a number that PM Imran Khan once used was also on India's list, according to reports. Chaudhary says he will take up the issue of espionage in the respective forums.

In an interview Chaudhary said he was trying to collect information related to the hacking. On Twitter, he wrote, "I am deeply concerned about reports of Guardian News saying that the Indian government used Israeli software to spy on journalists, political rivals and politicians. The immoral policies of the Modi government have dangerously polarised India. More information is coming out."

Reports claim that hundreds of Pakistani numbers were spied on and one of them is also linked to Imran Khan, which he once used, but now he does not run it. Firstly, Fawad's post itself is not clear whether Imran Khan's number could be spied on. At the same time, he was so hasty in crying over Pegasus that he forgot that if this had really happened, it was a failure of his party and his country's intelligence agency.
