Jerusalem: While many countries around the world are facing vaccine shortages, Israel is working on a campaign to give its citizens a third dose of the corona vaccine. Israel's health ministry last week told health funds and some hospitals that they could start giving the third dose of the Pfizer Corona virus vaccine to people who have poor immunity.
According to Israeli news website The Jerusalem Post, the Israeli Health Ministry says only people who have not developed antibodies against the corona virus will be given the third dose of the vaccine even after both doses of the vaccine. The Israeli Health Ministry said on Sunday that there was evidence that some people could not develop satisfactory antibodies even after taking two doses of the vaccine due to poor immunity. In this case, the antibody may develop after giving the third dose of the vaccine.
The government also says that cases of corona infection have seen an increase in June and July, in which cases of immunosupation patients may be at a higher risk. Therefore, they can be given the third dose of corona vaccine.
