Pakistan's postal department in poor condition, lack of employee

Lahore: The postal department is also suffering due to the financial crisis of neighbouring country Pakistan. The department is struggling with a huge shortage of employees because new recruits are not being done. For this reason, people are facing problems in sending or receiving mail.

According to the report published in the Pakistani media, currently, more than 25 percent of the staff posts in 'Pakistan Post' are lying vacant. A total of 31 thousand employees are recommended for the department, but currently, more than five thousand posts are lying vacant. Due to this, common people are facing difficulties in sending or receiving mail.

It has been said in the report that the Government of Pakistan has made the use of Pakistan Postal Service mandatory for all government departments. Due to this, the time has increased even more, because many departments are neither coming nor able to go through the post. With this, the employees of all departments reach the post offices for disposal of their mail. Due to this, congestion in post offices has also increased and it takes a lot of time to get the number of general public.
