Palestine arrests Palestinian for ramming a soldier with a car in Israel

Israeli military said that, a Palestinian was arrested after reportedly carrying out a car-ramming attack in Israel's occupied West Bank, injuring a soldier.On Tuesday, the incident occurred outside the Israeli settlement of Halamish.

A military spokesperson said in a statement that the driver "advanced his car at a number of troops who were protecting the highway," and that the car "struck a soldier who was evacuated to a hospital by an Israel Air Force aircraft that was deployed to the site."

The 19-year-old soldier sustained moderate leg injuries, according to Israel's Magen David Adom emergency health service. According to the statement, the suspect was apprehended and "transferred to security personnel for further questioning." In the West Bank, both Palestinian violence against Israeli soldiers and settlers, as well as settlers' attacks on Palestinian farms and communities, have increased.

Despite international condemnation, Israel captured the West Bank in a 1967 war and has maintained control over it ever since.
