Mumbai: Customs have busted two major incidents at Mumbai airport in the initial days of the campaign against drug smuggling. In two separate cases, 4.47 kg of heroin (worth Rs 31.29 crore) and 1.596 kg of cocaine (worth Rs 15.96 crore) were seized. Two criminals have been arrested in this case. In the first case, a resident of Indian origin has been arrested. He had landed at the Mumbai airport on a Kenya Airways flight from Johannesburg via Nairobi. On getting a clue against him, he was chased and intercepted from the flight itself. When a search was conducted, 4 kg 470 grams of heroin was seized from him. Which was cleverly hidden in 12 cover folders of papers. Thin layers of heroin packed in polythene covers were kept inside these folder covers. The value of the recovered heroin is approximately Rs 31.29 crore. In another case, an Indian national who landed in Mumbai on an Ethiopian Airlines flight from Addis Ababa was intercepted at the Green Channel. During this, his luggage was scanned. In this, the officer of the baggage scanning machine found something suspicious. On investigation, 1 kg 596 grams of cocaine was found from him. Its market price is around Rs 15.96 crore. It was hidden by making holes in kurta buttons and women's bags. Video!!
