People stood to welcome Marriage procession and became victims of death

Bhilwara: Four Marriage processions were run over by a truck near Kuradia Highway toll in Bhilwara, Rajasthan, at around 6 pm last Sunday evening. After which the Marriage processions lost their lives on the spot. 4 more persons were injured in the incident. Jahazpur CO Mahavir Sharma and Hanuman Nagar police station in-charge Mohammad Imran rushed to the spot. The injured persons were brought to the hospital. Dead bodies pulled out of the truck. Meanwhile, Jahazpur MLA Gopichand Meena and sub-divisional officer Damodar Singh also rushed to the spot.

It is found that two daughters of Shankar Lal Meena, who lives in Kuradia village, were scheduled to get married on Sunday evening. One procession came from Manohar Garh and the other from Sarsia. The procession that came from Manohar Garh was standing on the side of the road. Meanwhile, the truck coming from Deoli first badly crushed a car parked in front of the toll. After which it ran into the bushes, crushing the people standing in the reception of the procession. There was chaos at the spot after the accident. The bodies of the people were trapped in the wheel of the truck.

The victims have been identified as Dilkhush alias Neeraj (16), Kuldeep (14), Manoj (18) and Rajendra (18). Vinod Putra Pappuram (17), Rahul Putra Ramvatar (12), Prakash Putra Rajkumar Meena (18) and truck driver Raju son of Dayaram Jat (25) were injured. The injured have been admitted to Deoli Government Hospital in Tonk district for treatment. Police are taking action in the case.
