Petrol and diesel prices fall for second consecutive day, general public gets big relief

New Delhi: Petrol and diesel prices have been cut for the second consecutive day on Friday, which will provide relief to ordinary consumers in the festival season. Petrol in Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai is being sold at 18 paise on Friday, while in it is being sold cheaper at Chennai in 19 paise per liter. At the same time, the price of diesel has been 8 paise in Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai, while in Chennai, 9 paise per liter has been worked.

According to the website of Indian Oil, the price of petrol in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai has come down to Rs 74.33, Rs 76.96, Rs 79.93 and Rs 77.21 per liter respectively. In the four metros, diesel is also being sold at Rs 67.35, Rs 69.71, Rs 70.61 and Rs 71.15 per liter respectively. According to the news agency IANS, in these two days in the country's capital Delhi, petrol has become cheaper by 28 paise per liter, while the price of diesel has come down by 14 paise per liter.

Government cut domestic natural gas prices

Anuj Gupta, deputy vice president (energy and currency research), Angel Broking, has said that during the festive season, the prices of all essential commodities ranging from fruits and vegetables have increased, which has also contributed to the rise in oil prices in the past. In such a situation, due to the reduction in the price of oil, ordinary consumers will get a lot of relief. Gupta said that the price of petrol and diesel will decrease further because the price of crude oil has been recorded in the international market recently.
