Misbah in trouble, petition filed against him in High Court

Lahore: Newly appointed chief selector of Pakistan cricket team coach Misbah-ul-Haq has been plunged into new trouble. A petition has been filed against him in the Lahore High Court. This petition has been made to prevent Misbah from working together at different positions of Pakistan's selector and coach. The reason for the turbulence in Pakistan cricket these days is the removal of Sarfraz Ahmed from the captaincy of the Test and T20 team. There is constant talk in the media about this.

Sarfaraz was discharged from the Test and T20 squad announced for the Australia tour on Monday. He was not given a place in either team, instead, Mohammad Rizwan has been given the role of the wicketkeeper. According to Pakistan newspaper The Dawn, Syed Ali Zahid Bukhari has made an application against former captain Misbah playing the role of chief selector, batting coach and head coach of the team. Syed said in his application that the current team's performance in the T20 series against Sri Lanka was extremely poor.

The court has said that it cannot be determined who will play in the team. But the judge has issued a notice in this regard to the Pakistan Cricket Board and asked to reply by next week.
