Lucknow: Ahead of the Uttar Pradesh elections, PM Narendra Modi today inaugurated the Poorvanchal Expressway. Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the 341 km long Poorvanchal Expressway at Karwal Kheri in Sultanpur district. It has taken 36 months to build this expressway. The same 341 km long Poorvanchal Expressway will connect Eastern and western Uttar Pradesh. The expressway will start from Chand Sarai in Lucknow and reach Ghazipur. It cost 22,497 crore rupees to build. The expressway will pass through 9 districts of Lucknow, Barabanki, Amethi, Ayodhya, Sultanpur, Ambedkarnagar, Azamgarh, Mau and Ghazipur. After the inauguration of the same Poorvanchal Expressway, an air show took place at the airstrip at Sultanpur. Fighter aircraft like Rafale, Sukhoi and Mirage are managing touch and go operations at the air show. That means planes come flying and fly again as soon as they touch the land. These are airstrip 3. It is 2 kilometres long. It has been designed as a preparation for a war-like situation. At the same time, Prime Minister Modi said that in 2014, when I was given the opportunity to serve, I, as an MP here, as a Pradhan Sevak, started going into his nuances. The poor should get pucca houses, the poor have toilets, women do not have to go out for open defecation, everyone has electricity, there were so many things that were necessary to be done here. But I am very sorry that the Government which was there in Uttar Pradesh then did not support me. Not only that, even standing next to me in public, he was afraid of getting angry with the vote bank. He was so ashamed because he had nothing to account for. I knew that just as the then Government, the government before Yogiji came, did injustice to the people of Uttar Pradesh, the way they were biased in development, just as they only benefited their families, the people of Uttar Pradesh would permanently remove those who did so from the path of development of Uttar Pradesh. Modi said that you have given an opportunity to serve and given the development work being done in Uttar Pradesh today, I can say that the fate of this region, Uttar Pradesh has started changing and is going to change at a rapid pace.
