New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to freedom fighter and statesman C Rajagopalachari, On the 143rd anniversary of his birth, saying he will be remembered for his contributions to the liberation movement, administrative and intellectual prowess. Modi shared a letter that the country's first home minister, Sardar Patel, had written to him when he took over as the Governor-General of India, noting that Patel was an ardent well-wisher of Rajaji. On the occasion of Shri C. Rajagopalachari's Jayanti, we pay our respects to him.
