PM Modi reveals how Middle-Class Will Get benefits of Rs 7 Lakhs

New Delhi: A day after Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented her General Budget, PM Modi reached her constituency Varanasi. Addressing the House on this occasion, he explained the specifics of the budget. He said, by 2022, two crore houses will be constructed in the village alone to ensure that every poor homeless have a pucca roof.

Prime Minister Modi has said that the budget is linked to the common people. Our government has emphasized the need to make the Indian economy a $5 trillion economy. He said the income tax exemption on the interest of the middle class for affordable homes has been increased by Rs 1.5. This means that the home loan interest will now be exempted up to Rs 3 and a half lakh.

Pm Modi said that this would allow a middle-class family to avail up to Rs 7 lakh on loans up to 15 years. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, while presenting the first full-time budget of the Modi government's second term, had announced an additional exemption of up to 1.5 lakh rupees for home buyers under the target of housing and home for all.
