Modi-Shah felicitate on Air Force' 88th Foundation Day

New Delhi: Air Force is celebrating its 88th foundation day today. A fly past and parade took place at Hindon Airbase in Ghaziabad on the occasion. Several veterans of the country including PM Modi, UP CM Yogi Adityanath have wished the Indian Air Force on the occasion. In a tweet, PM Modi wrote, "Congratulations to all the brave warriors of the Indian Air Force on Air Force Day."

"You not only protect the skies of the country but also play a leading role in serving humanity in times of disaster," PM Modi added. "Your courage, valour and dedication to protecting India is going to inspire everyone," UP CM Yogi Adityanath wrote in a tweet. A symbol of valour, dedication, efficiency and valour, "Indian Air Force Day" greetings to all the air heroes of the Chief Sentinel, Enemy Destructor, National Guard Air Force. From wartime to peacetime, your unforgettable dutifulness makes the entire nation proud." In addition, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also wrote in a tweet that "The Air Force has served the country and created history since its inception. Besides Rajnath Singh, Union Home Minister Amit Shah also congratulated the Air Force on the occasion". The Indian Air Force was formed on October 8, 1932. That is why Air Force Day is celebrated every year on the same day.
