PM Modi returns from foreign tour, to visit Arun Jaitley's home to offer condolences

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has returned to India this morning from a three-nation foreign tour. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit former Finance Minister and veteran BJP leader Arun Jaitley at 10 am this morning. As he was on a foreign tour, PM Modi could not reach to pay homage to Arun Jaitley's demise. However, PM Modi had a phone conversation with Jaitley's family.

Prime Minister Modi had expressed deep sorrow over the phone talking to Arun Jaitley's wife and son. Arun Jaitley's family had appealed to PM Modi not to cancel his foreign tour. It is worth mentioning here that PM Modi was on a visit to the United Arab Emirates. Prime Minister Modi also visited Bahrain and France.

Jaitley's death was reported to PM Modi in the UAE. Describing Arun Jaitley's demise as a huge loss, he said that a friend had left his life. Prime Minister Modi had said that Arun Jaitley has made a significant contribution to nation-building. "I have lost a him as a friend. Arun Jaitley ji was political veteran.'
