Bengaluru: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has formed a government led by BS Yeddyurappa after the Congress-JDS-led government collapsed in Karnataka. But the dissatisfaction in the new government is beginning to emerge. To suppress this discontent, Yeddyurappa has replaced three deputy chief ministers in his cabinet. Earlier, 17 MLAs had sworn in as ministers at the swearing-in ceremony of the cabinet on August 20.

However, since then, the departments of ministers could not be divided. Now, CM Yeddyurappa has divided all the portfolios and appointed three Deputy Chief Ministers. These three deputy CMs are Govind Karajol, Dr. Ashwat Narayan CN and Lakshman Sangpa Sawdi. In addition, 14 other ministers have also been divided into departments. However, sources said that Yeddyurappa was not in favour of forming a deputy CM.

In Karnataka, the Lingayat community leader B.S. Yeddyurappa became CM for the fourth time on July 23 after the fall of the 14-month-old JD-S-Congress coalition government and returning to power. Jolly is the only woman in the cabinet. Of the 17, 16 ARE MLAs belong to the BJP and one is H. Nagesh is an Independent MLA from Mulbag Assembly seat. Out of 16 BJP MPs, Poojari is the party leader in the State Legislative Council.
