Srinagar: After the abrogation of Section 370 of the Constitution granting special statehood to Jammu and Kashmir, the Ministry of Minority Affairs is going to take major steps to explore the possibility of development. Today, a delegation of officials from the Ministry of Minority Affairs is visiting Jammu and Kashmir for two days, i.e. on 27th and 28th August in different parts of the valley to see where and how schools, colleges and other buildings can be constructed.
Minority Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi has said that those in the opposition who are opposed to the 370-issue move due to "political bias" will also support it in the times to come. Naqvi has always been saying, "We are paying special attention to Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh," he said, adding that it has been our endeavour to benefit the people of the ministry.
Naqvi said, the team will visit the Valley and later the event will be held in Jammu and Ladakh. The team will consist of the Secretary of the Ministry, the Joint Secretary and other high officials. The minister said that the abrogation of Section 370 is welcomed by all people, including the Muslim community of the state, and the purpose of taking security measures in the state is to prevent separatists from misleading the people.
