Pm Modi's grand welcome in Bhutan, receives Gaurd of Honour

Thimphu: PM Narendra Modi has reached Bhutan's capital, Thimphu. Prime Minister Modi was given a grand welcome at Bhutan's airport. PM Modi was given the Gord of Honour at Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan. PM Modi is on a second visit to Bhutan. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend a series of programmes including inaugurating the Hydro Power Project and launching the RuPay Card.

The focus will be on further strengthening the bilateral relationship between the two countries. Prime Minister Modi's visit to Bhutan comes at the invitation of his Prime Minister Lotte Tsering. Before leaving for Bhutan, Modi said Bhutan is a very important country for bilateral relations. In a tweet, PM Modi wrote, "I have arrived in Bhutan a short while ago. The important journey began. I am very grateful to the Prime Minister of Bhutan for the way I was welcomed at the airport."

Before leaving for the visit, PM Modi said, "India and Bhutan have excellent bilateral relations and our broad development partnership, hydropower cooperation and strong trade and economic relations beneficial to the two countries. Our shared spiritual heritage and strong people-to-people relationship make it stronger."
