NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to unveil an array of groundbreaking projects in Telangana, on Saturday, July 8, with a staggering value of approximately Rs 6,100 crore. His visit to Warangal is scheduled for Saturday at around 10:45 am, where he will commence the construction of these significant infrastructure initiatives, as stated by the Prime Minister's Office. Before engaging in the scheduled events, Modi will embark on a visit to the renowned Bhadrakali temple situated in the district. Additionally, he will address a public gathering, delivering an inspiring speech that is sure to captivate the audience. Party sources have revealed that G Kishan Reddy, the newly appointed state BJP president and Union Minister, accompanied by other senior leaders, has already arrived in Warangal to oversee the preparations for the Prime Minister's upcoming events. Among the highlights of the program, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of the state-of-the-art railway wagon manufacturing unit, Kazipet, which will be constructed at a cost exceeding Rs 500 crore. This cutting-edge facility will significantly increase the capacity for wagon production. An official statement has highlighted the positive impact this development will have on local employment opportunities and the growth of ancillary units in the surrounding areas. Ahead of Modi's visit and participation in the public meeting, the Telangana police have taken extensive security measures to ensure a safe environment. Anjani Kumar, the Director General of Police, held a virtual review meeting with the Warangal Commissioner and other senior police officials to discuss and coordinate the security arrangements. The smooth and glitch-free visit of the Prime Minister is of utmost importance, as emphasized by the Director General of Police. A V Ranganath, the Warangal Police Commissioner, shared that designated senior police officers will be in charge of security, and armed measures have been implemented at key locations such as Mamunur, Bhadrakali Temple, and Arts College, which are all part of the Prime Minister's itinerary on Saturday. Ranganath further informed that over 3,500 police personnel will be deployed to ensure the effective implementation of security measures. In addition, a traffic advisory has been issued, designating Warangal as a no-fly zone from July 6 to July 8, as mentioned in the official release. This visit to Telangana marks Modi's third trip to the state this year, demonstrating his continued commitment to the development and progress of the region.
