With a staggering investment of over Rs 7,000 crore, he inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for eight transformative projects that will revolutionize the infrastructure landscape and propel the progress of Chhattisgarh.
Highlighting the significance of this occasion, PM Modi expressed, "Today marks a historic milestone in Chhattisgarh's path of growth. The implementation of these projects will breathe new life into the state's infrastructure, enhance connectivity, and improve the lives of its people."
He further added, "This generous gift of projects, exceeding Rs 7,000 crore, is dedicated to bolstering infrastructure and connectivity, ensuring the welfare and convenience of the people of Chhattisgarh." The Prime Minister emphasized that the central government is committed to bringing modern infrastructure to regions that were previously afflicted by social injustice, particularly the remote and marginalized areas.

These are the very districts that were once plagued by violence and anarchy. Yet, they have now become the driving force behind India's economic growth."
PM Modi also shed light on the two ongoing economic corridors in Chhattisgarh, namely the Raipur-Dhanbad and Raipur-Vishakapatnam corridors. These transformative corridors traverse through aspirational districts that were previously considered underdeveloped, marking a significant turning point in their trajectory.

Highlighting the extensive development initiatives, PM Modi noted, "Over the past nine years, the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana has brought roads to thousands of tribal villages in Chhattisgarh. The Government of India has approved projects for the construction of approximately 3,500 km of National Highways here, with around 3,000 km already completed."
Chhattisgarh, currently under BJP's Opposition, is one of the states scheduled to hold Assembly polls later this year. The other states include Rajasthan, Telangana, Mizoram, and Madhya Pradesh.
