NEW DELHI: This year 2025, ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ (PPC 2025) has witnessed a remarkable milestone with 3.25 crore students, parents, and teachers registering to be part of the event hosted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Union Education Ministry shared that this first-ever participation reflects the growing significance of PPC as a nationwide initiative aimed at transforming the exam experience for young learners. Interestingly, the registrations also include a considerable number of foreign students, highlighting the global reach of the program.
The registration window, which opened on December 14, 2024, will remain accessible until January 14, 2025. Those eager to join can still sign up via mygov.in before the deadline.
A Platform for Stress-Free Exams
‘Pariksha Pe Charcha,’ a brainchild of Prime Minister Modi, is designed to ease the stress associated with exams. It creates a platform where students can interact with the Prime Minister, seek advice, and learn practical tips to face their exams with confidence and optimism.
The Ministry of Education has called PPC a growing “mass movement” that redefines exams as a celebration of learning. This year’s edition, the eighth in the series, has already set a new benchmark for registrations, surpassing last year’s numbers by a significant margin.
Inspiring Students Nationwide
Organized by the Department of School Education and Literacy under the Ministry of Education, PPC has become one of the most awaited events among students. Last year, the 7th edition took place in a Town Hall format at Bharat Mandapam in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
To further build on its spirit, schools across the country are hosting special activities from January 12 (National Youth Day) to January 23 (Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Jayanti). These events aim to inspire holistic development and encourage students to embrace exams as a meaningful journey.
Activities to Enrich Learning
This year’s activities include indigenous sports, marathon races, meme-making contests, street plays, yoga and meditation sessions, poster competitions, film screenings, mental health workshops, and creative events like poetry and singing competitions.
By engaging students in these activities, Pariksha Pe Charcha fosters an environment where education is celebrated as a joyful and enriching experience.
