Bengaluru: Underworld don Ravi Pujari has been brought from South Africa to Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka. Don was arrested in South Africa on Sunday. Police has given information in this regard on Monday. Kuldeep Jain, city deputy commissioner of crime branch, said that "after being extradited from Senegal, Africa, the priest has reached a four-member Karnataka police team to Bangalore late at night." The police team consists of Additional Director General of Police AK Pandey and Joint Commissioner of Police of Bangalore Sandeep Patil, an inspector and a constable. Jain has said that, "The priest will be produced before the Additional City Metropolitan Magistrate (ACMM) court in the city to seek judicial custody". The priest was taken to some unknown place in the city amid tight security from the international airport. According to Indian intelligence sources, the priest has been arrested from a remote village in South Africa, where he was living on the passport of Burkina Faso by the name of Anthony Fernandes. Sources have said that the priest had fled to South Africa after being released on bail in Senegal last year, where he was involved in drug trafficking and recovery business.
