Lucknow: A shocking case of triple talaq has once again come to light from Banda district of Uttar Pradesh. After just 8 months of marriage, the husband divorced his wife at the behest of his brother-in-law for not getting a bike, Rs 5 lakh and gold chain in dowry. Not only this, despite the victim being pregnant, the in-laws beat her up and threw her out of the house. According to the report, the victim reached the police station after being fed up with the mental torture of her in-laws. The police immediately registered an FIR against seven in-laws, including the woman's husband, under dowry harassment and the Muslim Women Marriage Protection Act and started further action. The victim told the police that she was married to a youth from the same village on August 18, 2022. The father welcomed and bid farewell to 800 people who came to the marriage procession by giving more ornaments, goods etc. than his capacity. But, despite this, no one was happy about the dowry given to the in-laws. So after 2 months of marriage, they started demanding a bike, Rs 5 lakh and a gold chain in dowry. The victim said that she was also pregnant, so she tolerated every torture of her in-laws demanding dowry. Many panchayats were held, but the in-laws did not agree. For the sake of dowry, they continued to torture her physically and mentally and finally pushed her out of the house. After this, she came to her parents house. The victim says that then the husband divorced her on the phone at the behest of his brother-in-law. Chilla police station in-charge Prabhunath Singh said that the police have registered a case against seven in-laws, including the accused husband. Action is being taken in the case. All the accused will be questioned. If the allegations are found to be true, strict action will be taken against them.
