Production of Sputnik V to begin in Brazil on January 15

Many countries have started the vaccination drive against coronavirus. Brazil will also begin manufacturing the Russian-developed Sputnik V vaccine against the coronavirus disease on January 15. 

The information about the manufacturing of the vaccine has been shared on the vaccine's Twitter account. "Brazil will start production of Sputnik V on January 15th," the tweet reads. The vaccine Sputnik V, developed by the Gamaleya Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology, was registered by the Russian Health Ministry on August 11, becoming the first registered vaccine against corna in the world.

As far as global corona cases concerned, coronavirus infections have now surpassed 90 million confirmed cases around the world, as more countries braced for wider spread of more virulent strains of a disease that has now killed nearly 2 million worldwide.
